Road Funding Remains a Key Question for Industrial Growth East of Boise

ITD is studying widening I-84 between Boise and Mountain Home, but construction timing remains dependent on funding, according to BoiseDev. The proposed widening is not currently included in the department’s seven-year investment program. Separately, the Mountain Home Highway District expects developers to fund local road improvements required by their projects. For industrial land buyers, our takeaway is straightforward: evaluate existing access, required improvements and potential costs without assuming future highway capacity will arrive on a particular schedule.
