Micron’s Market Value Surpasses Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, McDonald’s, Disney, Starbucks, Nike and Chipotle Combined
Boise-based Micron’s stock-market value reached approximately $1.17 trillion at the October 8 close—exceeding the combined value of seven of the world’s best-known consumer companies, according to an October 9 report from 24/7 Wall St. The comparison reflects market values on that date, which fluctuate with share prices.
For Boise real estate, the significance extends beyond Wall Street. Micron plans two new Idaho semiconductor fabrication facilities, with production at the first scheduled to begin in 2027. That expansion is creating a foundation for additional manufacturing activity and employment in the region.
Farther southeast along Interstate 84, Ahlquist and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe are planning Peregrine Industrial & Technology Park near the Simco Road interchange in Elmore County. Ahlquist’s project materials identify opportunities for industrial facilities and buildings designed for individual business users, positioning the development near Micron’s Boise campus.
The potential real estate benefit extends beyond Micron’s own buildings. As manufacturing capacity and employment grow, suppliers and service companies may need nearby production, warehouse and support space. Additional workers could also support demand for housing, retail and other services.
For property owners and investors, the corridor from southeast Boise toward Simco Road deserves attention. Business relocations, leasing activity, infrastructure improvements and construction progress will help reveal how this industrial expansion translates into sustained demand for real estate.
Market-value comparison as of October 8, 2026. Development information checked October 10, 2026.
